I'm interested in buying an Atari 7800, I was thinking about getting the controllers that came with the European and Australian version of the system, mainly because I hear that they are far superior to the ones that came out in North America.

Sure, I'm a bit embarrassed but I feel asleep w/cigarette while playing xbox 360 only to wake and find a burn mark. I've thought of filing it with a nail file to try to reduce it? Any other suggestion...besides NOT smoking while being sleepy anymore? :)

360 freezes whenever I plug in my guitar controller?
I recently bought a GH2 X-Plorer controller (used if it matters) for my Xbox 360. If I plug it in, my 360 freezes instantly. When I leave it plugged in and then turn it on, it freezes before the Xbox logo even fully shows up. If I leave it plugged out, everything's fine. The controller X button lights up and all but it keeps freezing on me.

Well being your convertor box remote has no volume buttons, I'm going to have to say you can't use that one to be a universal remote. As for the TV, you need to read the manual. See if the TV remote can act as a universal remote or not. The manual would say as it would list codes for other devices. If it doesn't make any mention of such, then no you can't program either remote.
In that case you would have to go out and buy a universal remote. The Logitech ones I think are the go to choices out there right now. What is a better goal to set my sights on U.S. Army Ranger or U.S. Air Force Combat Controller?
I am very interested in both, i know of the attrition rate and i am very smart and in shape. I am in 10th grade and have always wanted to be a Ranger like my father, but Combat Controllers are also very interesting and cool. What do you think are the Pros/Cons of both and it would be helpful if you can give me any advice on both.

I don't know anyone in either of these careers, but they both sound like great jobs in the military. In one, you can draw from your dad's experience, and in the other, you might find something more tailored to what you're interested in.
I'd say to talk to recruiters, who can assess your abilities, and help you make the decision for what to try first.
As with everything else, what you want to do with your life is your best bet to succeed. And if you try one and it doesn't meet your expectations or doesn't challenge you enough, you can always try the other.

I have an acer aspire 1640z and on the hardware list there is a question mark next to network controller. I believe this is why i cannot connect to the modem. I have searched the internet for this controller and have still not managed to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thankyou :)

You can go straight from school provided you are 18. A pilot licence (even a light aircraft would do) would be of great use too. You need to be emotionally stable, quick of mind and highly self confident, plus be able to work well in a team.
You will definitely have to get a degree in order to obtain that sort of job. There are several programs designed specifically for this purpose. I know Purdue University has an air traffic control program as well as the University of Alaska-Anchorage. I'm sure there is more but these are the ones off the top of my head.
I'm actually going through the process of this right now. I initially applied for the public sector position in my desired market (ie chicago, San Diego, miami etc etc.). After this you are asked to take the AT SAT test. It's a barrage of test that took almost 6 hours to complete (you are given 8). I passed the test in the highly qualified bracket and I am currently waiting to go to the interview in May. Once you make it to the interview you're pretty much golden unless you fail your physical, drug test, or psych evaluation. You do not need a degree. Upon receiving a job offer you are sent to Oklahoma City to train at the academy for 4 months then you report to your destination. The full list of the current requirements can be found by googling ';ASAP FAA'; Once you enter the page you can find all the requirements as well as the starting pay, benifits, nature of work, etc.

I have tried to put the remote in from the back it can't fully go inside side the white connector thing inside the guitar is too big too let my remote go inside. I am scared that if I try to flatten it out any harder, the wire might get cut. Can someone please help?!

You need to look on which ever game your playing's controller settings for ';Invert Aim'; - make sure this is OFF or DESELECTED and you shouldn't have that problem.

One of my Xbox 360 controllers had stopped working after an Angry Gamer threw it at a TV unfortunatly. I've tried new batteries, battery packs, holding down the connect buttons, pressing them once, and pressing them repeatedly. So i decided to take it apart and see if there were any lose or broken parts so i could possibly just saughter them back on and be on my way to co-op gaming. But when i opend it up it had looked just like any other 360 controllers core. I'm still trying to figure out what is wrong with the damn thing but no luck and I'd hate to go spend another $50 for just a controller. Can anyone tell me if there is any other way to solve this issue, or what the wireless receptor on the inside looks like so maby i can take a better look at it. I'd appreciate any info I can get.

its really simple. you need to sync the controller. There are two ';sync'; buttons to press. On the box (next to memory slot ';b';) and on the controller itself.
You need to hit the ';sync'; button on the controller (NOT THE ';X'; Guide button)... It is right next to the LEFT bumper....and HOLD down the button...while holding that button down, next HOLD down the Sync button on the console until the controller is connected...
Well if you have turned both on and held both of the sync buttons but can still not get the controller to sync then I would bring the console back to the store get it replaced. If they sync button is stuck then you should just get it replaced and not have to worry about it.

The game was meant for the controller that came with the system, and although I've never actually tried using a Gamecube controller with the game, I can't see how it would work. If you look at the back of the box of the Zelda game, it clearly shows the Wii controller and nunchuck attachment in the upper right hand corner.

I can't see how you could use the Gamecube's controller to do this. they have classic controllers and yes you can use them. they also have the outlets on top of the wii or on the side...depending on how you sit it that you can plug your gamecube controller into, and you should be able to use those as long as you turn the connection off of the wii mote and specify which controller you are going to use before you start the game

In the settings menu there should be an option somewhere to ';restore to default'; or something similar.
This is a feature in 99% of games, and I doubt FIFA10 would lack this.
Look around the screen for a legend or something to tell you which button to press to restore to default.
Just keep looking around the options kind of menus and you will find it.

Should i paint my clear xbox controller?
i have a clear micron xbox controller, i was getting bored with it so i was thinking about painting it. should i paint the outside or the inside so it gets a nice glossy look from the clear plastic??

haha umm..I would say outside since if it were to be the inside you would ruin the wires and setup most likely. But the downside is when your playing its gonna feel really rough since its paint but if you have a lot of controllers go for it. I recommend getting some paint for plastics (they have some at home depot) so it doesn't chip off right away.

2. Paint can gum up the 'moving parts' which are primarily the buttons and their spring-back ability and the joysticks themselves.
Now.. if you want to paint it and put it on the shelf as a sort of iconic trophy.. have at it and post us some pics!

I am sure it can also be plugged into the 360. I would suggest just buying the full length cord for the charge and play kit. This works with or without batteries in the controller and it is about $14. For a little more you can get the battery pack too.
