Does the guitar controller for guitar hero for wii work for rock band also?

Guitar Hero controllers for Wii will work only for Guitar Hero on Wii.Does the guitar controller for guitar hero for wii work for rock band also?
I'm not really sure about the wii, but I'm guessing it's the same deal with all consoles. a guitar hero guitar won't work for rock band. rock band's guitar has five buttons at the top and five buttons at the bottom of the neck.Does the guitar controller for guitar hero for wii work for rock band also?
hard to sayreally. the xbox versions did, the playstation 3 versions did not. i'm not sure about PS2. but in all honesty, the only thing a GH contoller would be good for in rock band is playing bass.
Yes it should its the same type of drive. I'm not 100% sure though.
