Can you play Pes8 for Wii by gamecube controller ?

I want to buy a Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (Pes8) for my Wii system, but i don't know if i can play it using a gamecube controller ( 'cause i see that i can plug a gamecube controller into my Wii system )

No you cannot use the gamecube controller for Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 for the wii, you have to use the wiimote and nunchuk. If you could use the gamecube controller, it would say so on the back of the case of the game.Can you play Pes8 for Wii by gamecube controller ?
Depending on the game on the Wii. If it requires wii movement, then you'll use the wii-mote. if you can move with the anologe stick, then yes, you can play with the GC controller.
