How do i use my PS3 controller for guitar hero 3?

i have one guitar, and i dont want ot buy another guitar because they r xpensive.....so i wuz wondering how i could use my ps3 sixaxis controller to play guitar hero 3.....plz help meHow do i use my PS3 controller for guitar hero 3?
Yes you can use a sixaxis controller as a guitar hero 3 controller. Well, you said that you have one guitar. Ok before you start the game make sure that you connect your guitar controller and your sixaxis. When you start up guitar hero load your data and the main screen should come up. If you would like to play 2 players just go down to your choice of co-op career or multiplayer. Then differing on the amount of controllers you see you should see one guitar icon and a controller. Then play.

Note: the sixaxis controlls for guitar hero are

L2 = green

L1= red

R2 = yellow

R1 = blue

X = orange

Select = star power

Strumming will automatically happen

hope i helped

If you ever want to play me add me on playstation netowork lol i am ranked 57 in the world though =P:

Just start up the game like you'd usually would, but instead of using the guitar, use the sixaxis, it gets a little getting used to (you have to figure out what buttons do what), but after you get used to it, it could be easier to use than the guitar anyway

if you want the 2nd player to play using sixaxis, start the game normally (with guitar), then go to multiplayer, when the controller select comes up, it should show the guitar and a sixaxis controller on he screen, then choose which side you want to be on
go into the tutorial with ur PS 3 controller and then it'll show you what buttons to press... or look in the pamphlet that comes with the game... that's how i learned to use my 360 controller with GH3
ok i think l2 is blue and r2 is orange and left is green and right is yellow and red is up??? not compellie sure but l2 and r2 i am sure on
