How can u fix a strum bar on a guitar hero controller?

you see the thing is it moves up and down but when i push down it wont do anything


HELP!How can u fix a strum bar on a guitar hero controller?
u might need to buy a new guitar, something inside the guitar of the strum bar got messed up...maybe if u take it to a store liek gamestop they might fix it but i doubt it
