My guitar hero 3 will controller won't fit into the guitar?

I have tried to put the remote in from the back it can't fully go inside side the white connector thing inside the guitar is too big too let my remote go inside. I am scared that if I try to flatten it out any harder, the wire might get cut. Can someone please help?!

ok. do u have a cover on yr wii remote? how r u puting the wii remote in because u need to bu the button side out and i think that u nee to take off the starp also. and i think u have to slide it in side by side and if that dosn't work, just call costumer servie.My guitar hero 3 will controller won't fit into the guitar?
Is the strap in that little rectangle thing. When I first got it I thought it is too small. Put the strap over the rectangle pouch and it should shut and work.
Make sure you have removed all covers and straps from your WiiMote. If that doesn't work, then I agree with the other reply that suggested calling customer service.
