What is a Wii Classic Controller?


Can I play any Wii game I want without a Classic Controller, but with a nunchuk controller and a Wii rmote controller?What is a Wii Classic Controller?
the first answer is lying! the classic controller only works with one Wii game and all the virtual console games. that one game is (i'm sure you already know) super smash bros brawl





EDIT: even the second answer is lying. the classic controller cant be for people who arent comfortable with the Wii remote. Why? cause only one game for the Wii can use it. lets say you want to play super mario galaxy with it. you cant. sorry all people who are uncomfortable

A Wii Classic Controller is just a wired gamepad for the Wii. As far as I know, every game can be played with just the Wiimote and Nunchuk.





The Classic controller is just for people who aren't comfortable with the Wiimote.

I never said it could be used for any game(I don't know if it can or not), I said the Wiimote(not the classic controller) can be used for any game. That guy down there needs to learn to read.





I know the Classic controller was mostly intended for the Virtual console games, like the old sonic and mario games, etc.
1. It's an optional attactment controller (like a nunchuck), that gives you a full, snes-with-analog-sticks style gamepad. It's normally used in VC games, but some games that favor a more tradional play style are allowing it to be utalized.


2. Certain VC games require more buttons than the Wiimote offers, so you need a Classic Controller or a Gamecube controller.
The classic controller is a controller that you use to play the virtual console (vc) games on your Wii. Some games on the vc you can use the gamecube controller, the classic controller, or hold the wii remote sideways. I think that there is only one game so far for wii that uses the classic controller; Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

There are several other Wii games that support the Classic Controller. Like DBZ: BBT 2 and 3, the Mortal Kombat game, and Baroque. It's actually becoming pretty common for games to support it.
